Mari's childhood was spent growing up in Puebla, Mexico. She attended Benemerita Universidad Autonoma de Puebla where she received a Bachelors of Science in Pre Dentistry. Mari moved to the United States in 1983 and worked as an RDA for ten years, after which she decided to go to hygiene school. She received her Bachelors of Science in Hygiene from the University of Southern California. Mari has genuinely enjoyed being a hygienist for the past twenty-two years. She is fluent in Spanish and English, and even speaks some French. She prides herself on the ability to gently, but seriously convey to her patients the importance of oral health.

I was born and raised in Southern California and I am a single mother to an amazing daughter named Khloe, whom I love with all my heart. I went to Dental Assisting School in 2015 and decided to become a Dental Assistant a couple years later in 2017. I have worked as an assistant for 3.5 years and decided I wanted to transition into working in the front office in the dental field. In my free time I like to try and spend as much time with family and friends and obviously with my daughter.My daughter and I like to go to Knotts Berry Farm all the time and it is nice to have season passes so that way it’s nice to go whenever we would like.

Hello there! My name is Mayra and I’m an RDA here at Solana Family Dental. I’m a San Diego native and I enjoy the many fun adventures of being a mother to my 4 year old son, Felix and our new puppy Leia! We enjoy traveling, family walks by the many beautiful lakes in our area, and the beach of course! I began working in the dental industry in 2018. Being able to put a smile on our patients’ faces has only made my job 1000x more rewarding following such a difficult year.
